Ikigai (生き甲斐, lit. ‘a reason for being‘) is a Japanese concept referring to what an individual defines as the meaning of their life. A motivating force; something or someone that gives a person a sense of purpose or a reason for living and have identified and blended these four areas: What you love. What you are good at. What the world needs. What you can be paid for. Wikipedia: “For an older generation in Japan, their ikigai was to “fit this standard mould of company and family”, whereas the younger generation reported their ikigai to be about “dreams of what they might become in the future”.
Sensei is Japanese for master teacher. Sensai is a teacher of AI with wisdom and empathy. A word created by but not owned by me. I also teach how to use M365 Copilot responsibly. Following my recent trip to Japan I received Japanese approval to use this term of which I am delighted and privileged. Sensai センスAI
Ikigai Sensai meaning.
-The technical, logical realm of AI spanning user adoption, change, compliance, security and governance as a responsible Microsoft MVP.
-The sensory, illogical realm of human wisdom spanning AI assisted wellness, spirituality, philosophy – and bees as pollinators! And most importantly demonstrating Empathy as teaching AI can be completely overwhelming for many that are not in the technology head space.
Sensai is my AI pathway towards my Ikigai.
