What if AI isn’t about replacing human intelligence, but an opportunity to enhance our sensory perception ~ dare I add wellness, spirituality, religion, philosophy for the sake of improving humanity? The World Economic Forum research tells us that one of the top prompts on AI personal assistants is wellbeing counselling! Images below.
AI is evolving at astonishing speed, scale, and precision. I have strong sense that it mirrors nature with the sensory intelligence of honeybees intuitive complexity, sensing patterns, collaborating in hived mind networks and hexagonal frameworks copied by AI developers.
However, AI lacks the ability to replicate the human senses of taste or smell, both deeply emotional and instinctive, connecting us to our memory, safety, and truth. No matter how advanced technology gets the beauty of being human can never be replaced, but it can personally and professionally assist us in our own time and place and is very low cost.
Our brains constantly receive streams of sensory information—from sights, sounds, touch, and internal signals like heartbeat or breathing. Neuroscience sensory intelligence is about tuning in to these inputs with awareness, allowing us to regulate emotions, maintain focus, and make better decisions. The insula, a deep brain region, acts like a sensory hub connecting body and mind, helping us interpret these signals to guide our actions.
